Baptisms |
Baptism
is the ritual act, with the use of water, by which one is
admitted as a full member of the Church. Parishioners are
invited and encouraged to have their children baptised.
Infant baptism is the introduction of a person into the
Church community. Through the waters of Baptism the person
enters into the life of God - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
For all people, not just infants, who wish to be baptised

Marriages |
Marriage
is a divine calling by which a man and a woman give themselves
to each other in a life-long partnership. It is an opportunity
to experience the beauty of human love, a love that mirrors

Reconciliation |
Formally
known as confession, Reconciliation is offered Saturdays
5:00 - 5.20 pm at St Peter the Fisherman's Church in Laurieton.

First Eucharist |
First
Eucharist - First Holy Communion
First Eucharist is a special occasion - a further step in
becoming one with Christ and united with the People of God.
For most people first Eucharist takes place at about the
age of seven. Children should have an understanding of the
sacrament that is appropriate to their age. For additional

Confirmation |
There
is a close relationship between the sacraments of Baptism
and Confirmation. With the onset of adolescence a child
begins to assume the responsibilities of adulthood. He begins
to see his place within the church and in the community
at large. We receive a special grace (Confirmation) by which
our faith is deepened and strengthened, so that it will
be strong enough not only for our own needs but for the
needs of others in the community. For additional information

Anointing of the Sick |
Healing Masses with Anointing are held from time to time. However
if you are unable to attend, Fr Roohan can perform this service
at your place of residence. Please contact the Parish
