The 
            Society of St Vincent de Paul has been administrating help in the 
            Camden Haven for over 40 years. First established in Kendall in 1960 
            it operated mainly out of private homes. In 1973 the society operated 
            part-time from the rear of the St Peters Church in Laurieton. The 
            first commercial outlet opened in Laurieton in 1984. The present center 
            is a located on Lake Street, Laurieton and operates 5 days a week 
          providing much needed help to the local community.
